This vacancy is part time, 2-3 days a week.
Candidate should have a background in, or have held some responsibility for, or at least have a keen
interest in developing, HSE and quality management along with environmental matters.
An IOSH or equivalent qualification would be preferred, or willingness to achieve one.
To job-share with an existing staff member carrying out the following tasks:-
- Ensure all staff are suitably trained and appraised on H&S matters appropriate to their role.
- Advise on risk assessments and ensure Risk Assessment and Method Statements are
completed for each survey. Monitor the recording of dynamic risk assessments.
- Monitor H&S training (including first aid).
- Carry out weekly fire check at office.
- Ensure office environment is safe; carry out annual review and make recommendations for
improvements.
- Carry out DSE checks.
- Arrange PAT tests for electrical equipment.
- Ensure company vehicles (vans and boats) meet safety requirements.
- Ensure first aid kits are up to date.
- Maintain accident/incident reporting and logging.
- Maintain ISO9001/ISO14001 documentation and processes.
- Review and maintain company processes and procedures relating to quality assurance,
product delivery, environmental impact.
- Take part in other quality, health & safety, and environmental tasks as they occur.
It is not expected that the candidate will be conversant with all the topics above. Training and/or familiarisation will be given.
