Living Stone Dimensional Control Survey
DEME Group View project
Our specialist Marine Engineering Surveys are not only for supporting our offshore survey clients, we also support naval architects and commercial vessel owners with geometric data, compliant with Merchant Shipping Notice 1823(M).
Our onboard measurements and dynamic tracking of vessel motion provides data for stability and trimming calculations. Our engineering surveying capabilities allow us to accurately validate principal dimensions, draught and loadline marks and provide corrected positions in accordance with SI 1993 No. 3138 Schedule 3.6. The accuracy of our survey methods has been witnessed and confirmed by the MCA.Contact Us
A picture is worth a thousand words. By gathering millions of data points, a complete digital twin can be recorded and used to create detailed models, mesh surfaces showing structural deformation and line plans.
GEOSIGHT have developed hybrid techniques to merge different ranges of marine survey equipment to provide unified metrology datasets for our clients. We can tailor our services to any size of vessel, enabling us to produce relative sub-mm accuracy whilst maintaining mm accuracy over 30+m vessels.
We can deliver sub-millimetre accuracy using an optical 3D Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM). Optical CMM provides a series of 3D coordinates of pre-targeted points, which can then be used for analysis against a design or used to construct surface models for reverse engineering purposes.
GEOSIGHT Vessel Engineering Surveys are provided during the construction process where the requirement to check millimetric design tolerances of components has been achieved during the fabrication process.Contact Us
