Vessel Dimensional Control Surveys

Utilising direct measurements from Total Station, Laser Scanning and Photogrammetry methods, GEOSIGHT are specialists in the capture of precise and accurate dimension control data for marine survey and construction support vessels. Our Vessel Dimensional Control Surveys allow survey sensors to operate within their specified tolerances, which will in turn provide accuracy and confidence in subsea datasets. We provide full Vessel Calibration and Verification Surveys including Gyro Calibration; Vessel Motion Sensor Calibration and Verification Surveys; and GNSS Position Verification and Health Checks.

GEOSIGHT engineering and dimensional control survey services are provided where the need exists to check that millimetric design tolerances of components have been achieved during the fabrication process, where the requirement to check structure verticality and horizontal alignment exists, and to ensure the correct design, fabrication and installation of components is achieved.

3D Laser Scan Surveys / Vessel Information Modelling (VIM)

GEOSIGHT are specialists in 3D laser scanning which is carried out wherever there is a need to capture high resolution dimension data to produce a fully geo-referenced 3D model of a building, a vessel or any physical structure. The primary application for high resolution 3D laser capture is to model components and building/ structures both internally and externally creating the basis for traditional drawings or a 3D model as an input to a VIM project.

Metrology Surveys

GEOSIGHT metrology surveys can deliver sub-millimetre accuracy using an optical 3D Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM). Optical CMM provides a series of 3D coordinates of pre-targeted points, which can then be used for analysis against a design or used to construct surface models for reverse engineering purposes.
