Amy first joined GEOSIGHT briefly during summer 2020, when she undertook work experience, assisting with processing and site work. After showing clear aptitude and a keen attitude towards survey work, Amy returned to GEOSIGHT in June 2021, following the completion of her degree in Environmental Sciences at the University of Southampton.
The multi-disciplinary nature of her degree means that Amy is familiar with a range of software including ArcGIS, CARIS HIPS and SIPS and Petrel which will be useful for survey processing and demonstrates her ability to learn new skills quickly. She is looking forward to gaining a greater understanding of the practical and theoretical aspects of surveying and loves the variation between site and office work.
Outside of work, Amy enjoys staying active by playing hockey, going to the gym and cycling around the New Forest. She is also hoping to travel more once the covid-19 restrictions are lifted.
