Jack joined the GEOSIGHT team in 2023 to support the hydrography division with his extensive marine skill set.
Jack has a background in sailing and watersports which included spending many years working on the water across numerous countries both in Europe and further afield. This led Jack on to studying a BSC Navigation and Maritime Science degree at Plymouth university, which gave him the opportunity to work across Europe working on a variety of merchant vessels. During the course Jack lived aboard his own yacht, took part in an expedition into the artic circle on a traditional Bristol Pilot Cutter and worked on a variety of merchant vessels through an SSTG sponsorship. After graduating from Plymouth University Jack worked as a Ground Penetrating Radar Surveyor for a small company in Southampton. After working in Geophysics for two years, he made the jump to working at GEOSIGHT where he has a varied role as a skipper, hydrographic surveyor and land surveyor.
Outside of work Jack is a competitive mountain biker, an experienced windsurfer and enjoys walking his springer spaniel, Arlo.
