Hydrographic Senior Surveyor

GEOSIGHT is a UK based multi-disciplinary geospatial survey company. Due to continued growth and development of our Hydrographic survey offering, we are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced hydrographic surveyor to be based from our office on the Hampshire/Wiltshire Border, and which has easy access to the nearby towns of Salisbury, Romsey, Southampton, Winchester and Andover.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have completed a recognised degree in hydrography which is accredited to IHO Category A, or who have, or are working towards individual accreditation via the Hydrographic Professional Accreditation Scheme.  You will have at least 4+ years’ experience in conducting both hydrographic and geophysical surveys and have a desire to build on this experience with a growing company who will support them in their professional development.  The ideal candidate will have a willingness to travel away from home for short periods of time and can take a technical lead on vessel mobilisation and data capture, data processing and reporting. Being part of a small company means this role will also involve office based activities including project management, client liaison, business development and supporting the operations manager with the general running and delivery of all hydrographic survey services.

GEOSIGHT is a growing survey company with a talented team of surveyors with huge amounts of commitment and dedication.  We currently work primarily in the nearshore and inland environments. This can be a challenging but very rewarding environment that requires a hardworking and passionate attitude to surveying, which will lead the successful candidate to a very promising and fulfilling career within GEOSIGHT where everyone’s opinion counts and is used to shape the future of the company.

Principally however, If you have a passion for the science of surveying and the complete understanding of its core principles, we would love to hear from you. We would particularly like to hear from you if you share our values of hard work and commitment, honesty and positivity, and if you want to be more than just an employee and contribute to helping direct a path towards continued professionalism and growth.

At GEOSIGHT we empower diversity, autonomy and creativity, and recognize people working with us as autonomous adults; people who are friends, partners and parents. That means we don’t know what is best for you, you do. We want to enable you to embrace all your roles and responsibilities whilst having a fulfilling career. We don’t want employees, we want people to come on a journey with us.

We can offer you a very competitive salary commensurate with your experience, alongside the opportunity to develop and grow with our ambitious and very talented team. You will have access to company vehicles for site work and will receive working away allowances for time away from home.
