Technical Director
Matt brings over 17 years of experience in the marine and civil engineering construction industries to the team. He holds a degree in Ship Science from Southampton University, providing core naval architecture and marine engineering knowledge and is a corporate member of the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors as well as an Associate member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Matt specialises in precision engineering survey work, during all phases of a construction project. He has worked on numerous civil and marine engineeering projects around the UK and Europe, and takes great pride as Technical Director in guiding the team to produce the most accurate, reliable and repeatable measurements achievable.
One of the key features of GEOSIGHT is its multi-disciplinary nature and this is evident through all of its staff and Matt leads both Land & Marine Survey projects at GEOSIGHT with a particular interest in dimensional control surveys, providing accurate calibration information to the offshore survey industry.
His lifelong passion for mapping and being outdoors comes from many years in the Scouting Association. As a leader he has attended and organised many activities and camps, sharing this passion with the young members.
